Les Palestiniens, suite à la signature d'un accord, entre le Saint-Siège et l'État de Palestine, d'élever la mission palestinienne auprès du Saint-Siège au titre d'ambassade, montrent beaucoup de bonne volonté en ce temps des Fêtes 2016-2017. Et les anges venus porter la bonne nouvelle de la naissance d'un Sauveur n'ont-ils pas annoncé «la paix sur terre aux hommes de bonne volonté»? (Luc 2, 14)
Le pape François recevra, ce samedi le 14 janvier 2017 le président Mahmoud Abbas, en visite à Rome où il doit présider l'inauguration de cette nouvelle ambassade de Palestine auprès du Saint-Siège. Cette annonce est parue dans la revue La Croix du 12 janvier 2017, chronique Urbi&Orbi.
Mahmoud Abbas, au moment des fêtes de Noël, aurait annoncé: «Je me rendrai bientôt au Vatican pour rencontrer le pape François. Lors de notre rencontre, nous parlerons des différentes questions d'intérêt commun, y compris des conditions de justice et de paix dans la région, et du dialogue interreligieux en vue d'une meilleure compréhension et d'un meilleur respect…» Il a également souligné que: «…[les chrétiens] sont le sel de cette terre et nous ne saurions concevoir un Moyen-Orient sans leur présence. Le pape François a fortement souligné que le Moyen-Orient a grand besoin de paix, faisant allusion à son appel pressant afin que le dialogue entre Palestiniens et Israéliens reprenne, et mène à une solution équitable et durable, qui assure une coexistence pacifique entre les deux États.
Prions pour que saint Joseph aide et soutienne tous les dirigeants au Moyen-Orient afin que la volonté du Père dans les Cieux soit faite.

Mahmoud Abbas, for this Christmas Holiday Season, reportedly announced: "I soon will go to the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis. During our meeting, we will discuss various issues of mutual interest, including the conditions of justice and peace in the region, and interreligious dialogue for better understanding and greater respect… " He also stressed that: "… [Christians] are the salt of the earth and we can not shape a Middle East without their presence. We will continue to cooperate with the heads of churches in Jerusalem, which is part of Palestine and its people. Pope Francis has strongly emphasized that the Middle East is in great need of peace, alluding to his recent urgent appeal for dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis to resume and to lead to a fair and lasting solution, that will ensure a peaceful coexistence between the two States.
Let us pray to St. Joseph to help and sustain the leaders in the Middle East so that the will of the Father in Heaven be done on earth.
