En 1499, après la chute de Bysance aux mains des Turcs, l’Italie est aussi menacée d’invasion par les Turcs. On supplie saint Joseph, la ville d’Udine en Aquilée est mise sous la protection de saint Joseph. Les Turcs sont arrêtés, pour la première fois, l’ennemi fut vaincu!

Midland, Ontario, Canada. En 1649, en trois jours seulement saint Joseph répond aux prières (du 16 au 19 mars), et la bourgade huronne est sauvée d’une attaque de plus d’un millier d’Iroquois pris soudain d’une panique inexplicable.
Midland est un lieu de pèlerinage très fréquenté. Les reliques des saints martyrs canadiens s’y retrouvent. 100 000 visiteurs viennent sur les lieux chaque année. Plusieurs cannes et béquilles suspendues attestent que des faveurs ou guérisons ont été obtenues.

En 1855, deux dames trouvent une image de Joseph dans les débris de la petite ville d’Espaly. L’image rustiquement décorée devient un lieu de pèlerinage sur le site du vieux rocher d’Espaly dévasté par les guerres. Espaly sort des ruines et une basilique est construite en l’honneur de Joseph.
À Espaly nous retrouvons le plus grand sanctuaire dédié à saint Joseph en France. Des milliers de pèlerins et visiteurs y sont déjà venus prier Joseph à toutes sortes d’intentions.

In 1855, two women find an image of Saint Joseph in the ruins of the small town of Espaly. The image, placed in the hollow of a rock in the ruins of the old castle devastated by numerous wars, and discretely adorned, becomes a place of pilgrimage. Espaly is rebuilt and a grand basilica is built in honor of Joseph.
The town of Espaly is now the most important sanctuary dedicated to St Joseph in France. Thousands of pilgrims and visitors come to bring intentions and prayers to Saint Joseph.

À Montréal, le saint frère André prie Joseph, son ami fidèle, pour absolument tout. Il place une petite statue de son ami sur le mont Royal, le mont le plus haut de la ville. Le frère André demande à Joseph d’ériger une chapelle en son honneur.
Bientôt, on voit s’ériger un grand sanctuaire dédié à Joseph.
On calcule, en moyenne, un miracle par jour de la vie du saint frère décédé à 91 ans. Calculez vous-même…

Il reste encore le plus haut édifice en ville selon un règlement municipal. Le sanctuaire nommé basilique par le pape devient le plus grand lieu de pèlerinage à saint Joseph dans le monde. On y reçoit chaque année plus de 2 millions de pèlerins.

Brother Andre, from Montreal, prays to his faithful friend, Saint Joseph, for absolutely everything. He places a small statue of his friend on Mount Royal, the highest point in the city. Brother Andre asks Joseph to build a chapel in his honor.
